touchpaperlit is a collaborative art project for artists working in every medium to come together to respond to their contemporaries’ creative work through further creativity.
At the start of March 2019, our fourth – and biggest – collaboration went live. The face it together feature flip-book is built on the idea that sometimes social cues like facial expressions and the emotions they imply can be mis-read or not noticed at all. And that this is likely to happen when there is a mismatch in emotion: they couldn’t possibly understand how I feel because they don’t look how I feel. Read more using the links above.
In mid-2018, an English writer, a Chinese dancer and an Australian architect collaborated to produce 90s SINGLES NIGHT, a collection of 11 English-language poems and illustrations with translated introduction and titles.
In February 2019, Jack revisited 90s SINGLES NIGHT with his microphone and drum machine and put together a mixtape. You can watch it now on YouTube or listen to it on Soundcloud.
And at the back-end of 2017, three British lads responded to each other’s contemporary poetry, illustrations, graphic designs and songs with comicstrips and album covers, further poems and drawings, and, for the penultimate post of the year, an improvised shadowplay:
